Welcome to our new DME website. Our passion is to improve the quality of life for people through our DME products and services we offer.
How does a concentrator work?
A concentrator does not produce oxygen. It actually takes the air that we breathe (ambient air) and filters the air to remove any undesired air particles that may be present. Next, the concentrator pressurizes the air to attain a specific liter flow prescribed by a physician. The compressed air is sent from the machine to the person through the use of an approved oxygen mask or cannula nasal tubing. This helps to improve the rate of absorption by the body helping to improve function, sleep, and rest.
Concentrators also referred to as oxygen concentrators are offered by Thrift-Town DME to medically prescribed customers to improve a person's intake of oxygen.
