Thank you for using 3uTools Guide ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used.

In short: 3uTools Guide does not collect, sell, or store your personal data on our servers. When you use the AI Assistant in its online mode, the messages you type are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) solely to generate a response — this is described in Section 3. Apart from that, everything stays on your device.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, sell, or share:

• Your name, email address, or phone number

• Your precise or approximate location

• Your contacts, photos, or files

• Advertising identifiers for tracking across other apps or websites

The App does not require you to create an account.

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:

• App preferences — appearance/theme, selected language, onboarding status, and notification settings.

• Favorites — guides you mark as favorites.

• Search history — terms you search within the App.

• Premium status — whether you have an active subscription or purchase.

You can clear this information at any time via the App's settings or by uninstalling the App.

3. AI Assistant

The AI Assistant can operate in two modes, which you can choose in Settings:

• On-device mode: The Assistant runs entirely on your device using a built-in model. In this mode, the messages you type stay on your device, are never transmitted to us or to any third party, and no internet connection is used.

• Online (Advanced) mode: To provide higher-quality answers, the text of your message — along with a limited amount of recent conversation context from the current chat — is sent over a secure connection to our third-party AI provider, OpenAI, which generates the response. This is the default behaviour when your device is online.

When online mode is used, please note:

• We send only the content of your Assistant messages. We do not send your name, email, account, device identifiers, location, or any other personal information, because the App does not collect these.

• OpenAI processes your message to generate a reply. Under OpenAI's API terms, your inputs are not used to train their models and are retained only for a limited period for abuse monitoring before deletion. • Because your messages are processed by a third party in this mode, please do not enter sensitive personal information into the Assistant.

• You can switch the Assistant to On-device mode at any time in Settings to keep all messages entirely on your device.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

Premium features are offered through in-app purchases and subscriptions processed by Apple via StoreKit. We do not collect or store your payment information. See Apple's Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

5. Analytics and Tracking

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites. Apple may provide us with aggregate, anonymized statistics (downloads, crash reports) that cannot identify you.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data Security

Your locally stored data is protected by your device's security. Messages sent in the Assistant's online mode are transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Use a passcode and keep your OS updated.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or hold your personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. You control the data on your device and may remove it by deleting the App. For questions about data processed by OpenAI in online mode, please refer to OpenAI's Privacy Policy linked in Section 3.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted here with an updated "Last updated" date.
