Thread Navigator Policy

Privacy Policy for Thread Navigator Last Updated: February 20, 2026

The Thread Navigator extension is designed with privacy as a foundational priority. We believe your AI conversations and workflows belong exclusively to you.

1. Local Data Storage To provide features like the Smart Prompt Library, Starred Prompts, and Focus Mode, Thread Navigator uses your browser's local API (chrome.storage.local). This means your custom prompt templates, tags, color preferences, UI arrangements, and saved conversation snippets are stored strictly on your personal device.

2. Data Collection and Transmission We do not collect, transmit, or monetize any of your personal data. No chat history, prompt templates, or usage analytics are ever sent to an external backend, remote server, or third party. Thread Navigator operates entirely client-side (zero-egress architecture).

3. Data Usage The extension requests host permissions (e.g., for ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek) to parse the active webpage's structure. This local scanning is strictly used to:

4. User Control and Export Because your data is never stored on our servers, you have total control over it. You can export your prompt library locally (e.g., to PDF) at any time. You can permanently delete all saved templates and starred prompts by clearing your browser's local extension data or simply uninstalling the extension.

5. Contact If you have questions about this policy or our privacy practices, please contact the developer via the Chrome Web Store support tab.
