Smt. Indira Parasharam is an accomplished Kuchipudi dancer, choreographer, and dedicated guru who has devoted her life to the preservation and propagation of India’s classical dance heritage. Trained under the esteemed Sri Pasumarthi Venkateswara Sharma, a direct disciple of the legendary Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam, she upholds the rich traditions of Kuchipudi with unwavering commitment and discipline.
With a Master's degree in Kuchipudi from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University and over two decades of experience, Smt. Indira has not only performed on prestigious stages across India and abroad but also created original ballets that blend classical technique with contemporary relevance. She is a B-Grade Artiste of Doordarshan, recipient of several awards including the Natya Koumudi, Natya Mayuri, and Guinness World Record honors.
As the founder of Thrailokya Arts Association, she has been a guiding light to hundreds of young aspirants. Her work includes inclusive cultural outreach, such as dance for visually impaired children and performances in orphanages and old-age homes. Her teaching philosophy balances strict classical discipline with an empathetic, student-focused approach, nurturing not just dancers but responsible, culturally rooted individuals.
