I am Toiyob Hossain, currently a graduate research fellow in the Department of ECE at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).
My research interests include Solid State Devices, emerging new devices. I am envisioned to explore novel materials and their functionalities with the goal of efficient microelectronic devices in RF, Power, Memory, and Computing applications. In doing so, I have led interdisciplinary collaborations across multiple schools (BUET, MIT, Nagoya Univ.) and leading companies, including Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL).
I am a Carnegie Institute of Technology Dean's Fellow. I received a travel grant from Neural Semiconductor Ltd. for attending IEEE EDTM 2024. I am also awarded the Dean's list honor and University merit scholarship from BUET for my outstanding BSc. studies. I'm currently the Secretary of IEEE Young Professionals Bangladesh Chapter. Previously I served as the President of BUET Optical and Photonics Society and OSA BUET Chapter.
