FLEX

FLEX is held every Monday through Thursday on regular schedule days. Students go to homeroom on Fridays. There is no FLEX or Homeroom on Minimum/Early Dismissal Days.

Note: Students who forget to sign up for FLEX will receive a lunch detention from admin.

EVERY TUESDAY and THURSDAY: After Thanksgiving Break, each Tuesday will be reserved solely for Room 44 students who need to catch up on classwork, ask questions, or who want extra support in ELA or History. Appointments can be made through Mrs. Wahedi only. If you want to be signed up for Tuesday FLEX, speak to Mrs. Wahedi to set up an appointment.

RETAKES:

Score Make Ups Expectations:

You must have scored a 70% or lower for this opportunity.
You will only be regraded once per assignment/assessment.
If you score lower on the retake than on the original, the highest score will be counted for the first three retakes.
After your third retake, you may lose the privilege to retake another assessment to make up for lost points. If you still choose to retake an assignment or assessment after scoring lower three times, your newest score will count, even if it's lower than the original score.
You MUST have your original quiz. This should be in your file.
Quizzes will not be the exact same, so please be prepared!
Reading Quizzes - If you scored a 70% or lower, you can schedule a meeting with me during lunch or FLEX to answer short response questions (up to as many questions as you missed). For each short response question (R.A.C.E. ~ about 4-5 sentences), you can earn one point back on your quiz.
History Quizzes: If you scored 70% or lower on your history quizzes, you schedule to come in during lunch or FLEX to earn these points back. You’ll need to find where exactly in the book you could find the answer to an incorrect question, and explain to me verbally or in writing (teacher discretion) how you now understand the concept or idea.
Vocabulary Quizzes: If you scored a 70% or lower, you can come in to retake the quiz during lunch or FLEX. Please schedule an appointment with me AFTER you have restudied all the words. A word bank will not be provided and words need to be spelled correctly to earn the point. You will retake the quiz with ALL the words from that week, not just the ones you missed.
