The Thornburg Village Players began in 1938 and continue to keep community theater alive with comedic, dramatic, and musical productions staged by residents in the Community Center Auditorium. You don’t have to be on stage to be a part of the Village Players; they are not all actors but are an ensemble of collaborating residents with a variety of skills: aspiring playwrights, set designers, builders, and painters; some procure and handle props and costumes; others prompt lines and handle publicity. No previous experience is required, just a desire to be a part of a creative and supportive group.
