Game Developer
My name is Thomas Konkel. I am the only child of Al and Cathy Konkel and was born in Texas, but have lived most of my early life in Mississippi. I graduated from Hancock High School in 2022 with a distinguished academic diploma and as Valedictorian from Full Sail University in 2024 with a Bachelor's in Game Development and a Course Director's Award. During my time in High School, I learned many things - both in and out of the classrooms. I took every available AP or honors variant of my classes and was always verbal about what I wanted to learn. My favorite subjects were - and still are - Engineering and Physics. My college journey was similarly interesting but the information was much more catered to my interests, as to be expected. I have met many great people in my classes whom I hope to stay in contact with.
I was in the Scouts of America for many years, and have held multiple leadership positions such as Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader; due to a large age gap, I was Senior Patrol Leader for a few years, much longer than the usual term length. I ended my scouting career with the honor of becoming an Eagle Scout in 2022. In my spare time, I enjoy tinkering with the hardware and software of computers and other tech, and would consider myself rather fluent in most related subjects; if not, then I am eager to learn. I used to be on a Saturday bowling league for over 6 years and made a few friends during that time. I travel with my family often and have visited all 50 US states and a few other locations, such as Costa Rica and Cuba. I have been to places like the Arctic Circle and the Panama Canal, and I believe my sights and experiences have made me much more knowledgeable and culturally informed.
