Thomas Hughes

I'm currently a postdoctoral research associate with the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Bath, mentored by Sarah Penington. I was previously an NSERC postdoc at McGill, mentored by Jessica Lin (McGill), Xiaowen Zhou (Concordia) and Lea Popovic (Concordia). I completed my PhD with the probability group at UBC in 2020 under the supervision of Ed Perkins.

My research is in probability theory. I mostly work on SPDEs and other spatial processes, studying quantitative and qualitative aspects of their propagation behaviour.
