Hi! I'm your neighborhood tree care artist-technician, specializing in fine pruning ornamental and fruit-bearing trees and shrubs. I am a Certified Aesthetic Pruner© through the Aesthetic Pruner's Association and have trained and interned with many leading urban forestry orgs and companies, including Friends of Trees, Portland Parks & Rec, HONL Tree Care, and Connecting Canopies. I also work with Portland Fruit Tree Project, as a part-time member of their tree care team.

I hold an arboriculture certificate from Portland Community College and continue to study under leading local educators in horticulture and home orchard care. In December 2023 I decided to rename my business, Thomas & Sons Tree Care, dedicated to my late father, Thomas, who lovingly grew and cared for over 200 trees that he planted in his home garden. My Dad was a skilled engineer and painter; my Mom, a scientist and gardener. I am deeply influenced by their love of nature and bring both an artistic perspective and meticulous attention to detail in my pruning work.
