Operation Saftey Net Street Outreach
412-242-7366
Shelters- Please note, the list is updated continually and we may not put it here as fast as it is updated. Please check Allegheny Connect for most current version if you have any questions: Online Shelter List Website
Also note, shelter listings are by category of how to keep people safe based on gender and gender identity. All Shelters except the veteran's one are wheelchair accessible.
Coordinated Entry Field Unit (OCS Field Unit)
The OCS Field Unit aims to support the survival and success of people experiencing homelessness.Individuals experiencing homelessness area supported by the broader Outreach community through the provision of food, water, clothing, and durable camping supplies. Beyond immediate survival, the Street Outreach community also assists individuals in connecting to vital services including physical and behavioral health care, public benefits, Coordinated Entry, and other housing assistance. The Field Unit’s efforts in engagement can vary as widely as the individuals served, and the team relies heavily on collaboration with the larger Outreach community
NOTE- this is a NEW service, so it may not always work smoothly.
