Chathuni Jayathilake, Ph.D

Background. Ph.D. Degree in Molecular Biology and Protein Engineering at the Department of Functional Biomaterial Science, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Saitama University, Japan 2020. MSc. degree in Nutrition at the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka 2015. BSc. degree in Food Science at the Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sri Peradeniya, Sri Lanka 2012. 


Research Interests. I work on in vitro selection models, Phage display and cDNA display methods which are high-throughput affinity molecule selection methods against biological targets such as proteins, peptides, receptors, bio markers, antibodies, etc. 

Rajbinder Kaur Virk, Ph.D

Background. Postdoctoral Research Associate at the NMR laboratory, Department of Physical Sciences, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, India; January 2023 – March 2024. Ph.D. in Biophysics at the Department of Biophysics, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India; 2022.


Research Interests. Structural biology using NMR spectroscopy and molecular dynamics simulations, Investigate metal-protein interaction through Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and ESI-Mass spectrometry, NMR metabolomics of animal and plant tissue extracts.

Emily Gregory-Lott, Ph.D

Background. Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology at the Department of Molecular Biosciences, University of South Florida, 2023, Tampa, Florida


Research Interests. I have a background in structural biology with a focus on the use of NMR and binding assays to investigate the functional effects of disorder in proteins.

Benjamin Kressbach

Research Interests. Using structural biology as a platform to identify and evaluate protein function and therapeutic mechanisms. 


Hobbies. Performing/composing chamber percussion music, cooking, and traveling.

Eun Cho

Background. I am a research technician in the Kim Lab. In the Kim Lab, my work includes DNA preparation, protein purification, and molecular cloning such as PCR, Gibson Assembly, and site-directed mutagenesis (QuickChange).


Research Interests. I'm particularly interest in DNA damage repair by histone modifications, and how liquid-liquid phase separation influences DNA damage response pathways. 


Hobbies. Playing piano, ukulele, gardening, and reading
