Getting here
Malta International Airport is served by several airlines. Depending on your time of arrival, you can reach Valletta and surrounding areas using the bus, hotel shuttle or taxi service offered at the airport.
Accommodation and getting around
Valletta offers plenty of choice for accommodation, but you can also opt to stay in other nearby areas which are very well connected with the Maltese capital. Sliema and Cospicua (3 cities) in particular are connected with Valletta with a convenient direct ferry service, but most cities around Valletta are equally easily reachable by bus too.
If you plan to use the bus, it would be useful to download the official Tallinja app, which offers real-time information about the bus service.
If you want to use the white taxi service, keep in mind that it's always better to enquire and agree on a fare before you enter a taxi. Alternatively, a quick Google search will get you the contact details of several private taxi companies that offer rides at a fixed rate or you can download and use the Taxify app which has recently launched a local service in Malta.
