WORLD WATER ACTIVITIES - The 12th Primary School of Kozani, Greece, 4th grade

The students of the 12th Primary School of Kozani watched the presentation about World Water Day, worked on the worksheets and created a collage with ideas on how to save water in our everyday life. Furthermore both classes participating in the project visited the Hydroelectric Power Plant in the area of Kozani and learnt how electricity is produced with the help of water. They also saw the longest river in Greece Aliakmonas, the artificial lake, the damn and finally played some outdoor games dealing with water pollution and bioaccumolation prepared by the 6th grade teacher Mr Konstatinos Zografos.

The 4th grade students at our school celebrated Earth Day by watching a presentation. They also worked on worksheets and made a collage with ideas on how to become environmentally friendly citizens.

We celebrated Earth Day with different activities.We understood the meaning of Earth Day by watching the lesson plan ,talking about important problems like pollution,climate change and animals losing their homes.We also did some coloring and coding activities.
