Eileen Hand
After receiving a degree in music performance from the University of Illinois, Eileen went on to work professionally in and around the Chicago area. Theaters include Apple Tree Theater, Light Opera Works, and Different Drummer Music Theater. She went on to found Thin Ice Theater in 2000. She has been directing and working with young people since then. She recently worked with Summer on Broadway at the Skokie Park District. Eileen also teaches voice and acting classes for the Skokie Park District as well as TIET.
Cheryl Yenter
Cheryl Yenter is a music and elemmentry education graduate from the College of St. Teresa and Winona State University, She has taught vocal music and produced concerts and performances by young people of all ages. She has sung in and managed various choral groups. She teaches and is a 4H Leader. Watching young people bring their characters to life on stage continues to bring great satisfaction.
Annie Guter and her family have been with TIET since the production of Oliver! in 2007. Right away Annie began helping with costumes. Annie is our professional resale/vintage shopper. Her eye for detail can create a super period costume from bits and pieces of 69 cents Salvation Army purchases. Annie also creates costumes for Skokie Park District and Telling Tales theater. She and Patty collaborate are the tag team of Thin Ice costume awesomeness.
Patty Mueller has been with TIET since 2001. She helped costumed Folk Tales Around the World which was TIET’s first production. At first she was costuming her children then she began to get more involved in costuming the overall show. Arsenic and Old Lace in 2013 was her first run as costume designer. Her costume designs have continued to grace the TIET stage since.
Timothy Wolf is the Music Director for TIET, working with many talented young performers to learn multi-part singing, to musically interpret their characters, and to engage with ehier audience throught the songs of musicals and plays, both old and new. Shows Tim has musically directed for TIET are: Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof, Mary Poppins, Once Upon a Mattress, Beuaty and the Beast, and Sound of Music. He has also assisted with As You Like It and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Originally from Royal Oak, Michigan, Timothy has degress in Theatre (performance), Mathematics and Philosphy form Wayne State University, and is a classically-trained pianist. A performer at heart, he has been seen in many venues in the area including frequently at Devonshire Playhouse: Catch Me if You can (special Agent Carl Hanratty), Young Frankenstien (Harold the Hermit), Children of Eden (Adam/Noah), The Man Who Came to Dinner (Sheridan Whiteside) and Hello, Dolly! (Cornelius). He has also worked with Music Theatre Works (Hunchback of Notre Dame, Anything Goes, Iolanthe, Music Man), and Skokie Theatre (1776). He was also not seen in MTW’s The Producers (u/s Bialystock). He lives in Skokie with his wife Lisa and his son Jack (of Jack’s Junction fame on YouTube), and also works as a Property Manager at the Tollway Oases.
Kayleah Wilson just moved to the Windy City from Arizona! She has been performing for as long as she can remember, and absolutely loves being a part of the theatre community. Before moving, Kayleah was teaching voice lessons and performing both on stage, and as a party princess. She enjoys working with kids and loves sharing the joy of music and dance, especially tap dance, with her students. Kayleah has been a part of Devonshire Cultural Center’s Summer on Broadway program, and works with other Devonshire productions. Kayleah is excited to be a part of Thin Ice this year and can’t wait to get started on such a fun season.
Robin Horwitz provides direct supervision of Devonshire Playhouse theatre productions and education, entertainment booking and management of district special events. Robin has worked in the arts administration/recreation field for 34 years. She has also worked as a singer and actress. Robin oversees management of all programming within the Cultural Arts Center. Robin has worked with Thin Ice Ensemble Theater in the past and will continue to oversee Thin Ice Ensemble Theater as it becomes part of the Skokie Park District. Her belief is that experiencing the arts is vital to a person's quality of life.
Evans Poulos is the Theater Technical Director at Skokie Park District. Previously he has worked as a network administrator. Evans can be found in his shop hammering, sawing, and creating sets and props for Devonshire productions. He also knows his way around a light and sound board and can fix a short and trouble shoot with the best of them.
