We've come up with four main themes for this unconference:
Human Connections
Bringing Outdoors In
Monitoring Things
Fun and Games
You can choose one of these as a starting point or decide on your own.
What matters is that people get together and find creative ways to explore the possibilities and challenges of connected devices. ThingsCamp is a playground and somewhere to have critical conversations. It's a place to learn, share skills and make new connections.
We want to see what sessions you come up with, but in case you're stuck here are some ideas you might like to try:
Connect into a remote device (environmental sensor, webcam, etc).
Build an analogue connected device with manual data capture (use plasticine to count bird pecks, make a mosquito trap, think about manual ways to capture air quality at regular intervals).
Use a device you have (phone) to capture and upload data to somewhere to share it.
Build a simple, analogue electronic device with things you have lying around.
Make a paper prototype of an imaginary device for the future.
Use IoT in Minecraft.
Dig an old device out of your drawer and use it.
