Thilani Catering serves authentic Sri Lankan food that has its own unique taste. Highlights on the menu include Lampries wrapped in banana leaf (rice, meat cutlet, eggplant moju, fried egg, shrimp blachan garnished with cashew nuts), Kottu, Hoppers, Buriyani and Traditional Chicken, Goat, Beef, Fish and Pork Curries. On the weekends, the outlets serves a variety of finger foods such as rolls, buns, patties, vadai, cutlets and sweets to provide an opportunity to sample a variety of Sri Lankan food.
The owner and manager, Thilani, is a head chef with more than 15+ years of experience in the catering industry. She had started her own private catering business due to her undying love for Sri Lankan food in mid 2012 as "Thilani Catering". Since then she has established a brand name with strong customer loyalty. Due to the several suggestions from her customer base she has seen the potential of growth in her catering business to convert it into a unique takeaway and delivery outlet, which materialised in mid 2018 as ‘Thilani Catering – Sri Lankan Takeaway and Delivery Outlet’ in Jindalee, Queensland.
