Unmonitored household water sources and lack of awareness about water quality posed health concerns due to unsafe levels of dissolved solids.
Rural students had limited exposure to diverse career paths and lacked guidance for making informed educational and professional choices.
Poor awareness of hygiene, nutrition, and preventive healthcare practices contributed to common yet avoidable health issues in the community.
Decline in green cover and minimal environmental consciousness in the village highlighted the need for promoting sustainable habits.
Rising risk of substance abuse among youth, combined with insufficient knowledge about its harmful effects, required immediate attention.
Low voter awareness, especially among first-time voters, reflected the need to educate villagers about their electoral rights and civic responsibilities.

To mark World Water Day, SSD College conducted an impactful community outreach program in Thikriwala and Naiwala villages. Faculty and students carried out door-to-door TDS level testing of household water supplies, identifying areas with elevated dissolved solids. This hands-on activity helped villagers understand the importance of clean and safe drinking water.
The event also included awareness sessions, expert talks, and live demonstrations on rainwater harvesting techniques and water purification methods. These activities aimed to promote sustainable water use and effective conservation strategies.
Villagers actively participated and expressed gratitude for the initiative. Many committed to implementing water-saving techniques and maintaining better water hygiene. The day concluded with a community pledge to conserve water and adopt eco-friendly practices, strengthening SSD College’s bond with the local population.
