I stood in front of the big boulder with a wide grin on my face. Under normal circumstances, people may found me odd for expressing such unnatural emotion at such a thing like that. If one were to be extreme they may even call me out for having fetish for rocks
*sigh* human's society and it's double standards. What a sad world we lived in
The boulder is nothing extraordinary, it's only a three by three stone slab just standing still on the spot as a normal rock should. No, it's the thing behind it that make me excited
Listen up boys, today we're going to explore a dungeon. And there's gonna be goblins!
I think
Two days ago, during my major freak out session I accidentally discovered a small tunnel in the cave. At that time I didn't think much of it... until I gained the skill [Detection] just yesterday
[Detection] allows me to sense the presence and energies of those around me. Using this, I can sense something moving behind that wall, and there's a lot of them crawling around. They have energy, but their auras don't feel alive, it's hard to explain it. This is just a hunch on my part but... I think they're all Grimms
My [Sixth Sense] agreed with me
As much as I would like to leave them alone, the danger of them finding their way out on this side is too much to ignore. So right now we have a potential Grimm nest inside my cave, only seperated by some slabs of stones I've set up. If I leave it as it is there's a chance that they will find a way out using unknown means. Judging from my previous experience, it can be safely assume that they'll turn hostile the moment they see me, which will be... quite bad. Hence, I've decided to exterminate these pesky Grimms before they can become a problem.
The fact that I can learn some useful ability have nothing to do with this
I estimated that the task will be done at night fall if I start right now. So without further delay, I kicked the stone slab to the side before crawling into the darkness, not knowing what's on the other end

Damn, it was dark in here
And smelly too
I couldn't see anything. The only thing that gives me the slightest sense of direction is my newly-learned [Sixth Sense] that send a mild alert to my body every time I was about to bump into something. I feel grateful for the Beowolf who'd given me this power
Well, I technically killed him and ate him, but it won't hurt to show appreciation to your benefactor
Ignoring that horrendous scent, I activated [Detection] to see if there are enemies ahead. I can sense one... two... three... four presences coming at me with medium speed. One is straight in front of me, two to the rear and one on the ceiling
Judging from the way they move, I now have a hint of what kind of Grimm they are
Just as the first one reached me, I reared my fist back and punched it in the head, making it exploded in a gory mess. The other two jumped at me, only to be impaled by my claws. My danger sense flared up and I jumped to the side just as the spider dropped from the ceiling
The spider tried to get up but find out it can't. It looked down in a curious manner only to see several stumps at where it's feet used to be before. I grinned before dashing toward the defenseless creature and ripped it's head off using my jaw
You have learned [Night Vision]
Ah, how convenient. I thought, munching on the severed spider head. It's as though the author himself has decided to give me plot armor and suitable powers with such appropriate timing
I blinked several time as my eyes slowly adjusted to the sudden brightness. What I thought was a small cave at first now turns out to be far bigger. I looked up to the ceiling ten meters above me and found spiderwebs of all kinds and sizes bunched up together with a few cocoons laid against them
"Spiders... I hate spiders" I muttered in mild distaste. There's just something about those creatures that always put me off, maybe it's the fact that when I was 5 a spider crawled into my mouth while I was sleeping and I accidentally swallowed it. I can never recover from that traumatic experience til' this day
Suddenly my detection sense picked up something, it's other Grimm spiders and there seems to be several of the-
-Oh wait...
Correction: Several hundreds of them, all of which is heading my way, full speed
I cracked my non-existence knuckles. This is going to be fun

There was only one thing I could think of as I stared at the notification window:
It. Was. Worth. It
This is my first time hunting spiders, but I seem to have learned some things from them. The first is that their poison sucks, even after I've healed all my wounds I could still felt the stinging sensation on my skin. The second is that I can theoretically get more skill from a prey with different physiology from me, which is that of a wolf
That's hella cool
After the fight is over, I consumed all of those spider corpses I've killed. Yes all of them, that managed to replenish my health and stamina to full, before I tried to get further into the cave. I won't be satisfied until I've killed all of them and gained their skills
Unfortunately though...
'Eh? Wait, don't run away!'
My plea went unheard as the other younger, weaker spiders all rushed out from their spots and scurried away as far from me as possible. Their clickers letting out rattled sound that echoed in the cave
I couldn't help but feel a little dejected
Hah... I guess there's nothing that can be done about it. At least I have some good time here, definitely will return tomorrow. For now though...I'm just going to have a long nap
