I think I'm beginnning to understand Magecraft as what it is: utilization of Mana which is a vital concept to Mystery and renact them through a formula to bake a cookie

In this case, the "formula" is a magical foundation— a set of coding and instruction intended for a single function as per Belial's word, and the "cookie" is magic bullshit

"I think no one has quite done that comparison before" the demon told me "You oversimplified it o a ridiculous degree"

"You said the way Magecraft function is in the interpretation of the user. That's just how I see the damn thing work"

It's been a month of continuous learning and I've been given nothing short of theoretical homework

My teacher who looks like a little boy has been torturing me with questions about mathematics, culture, and physics in an attempt to familiarize myself with how Magecraft can be calculated

This is a trick question as anti-gravitational bullet is not affected by weight regardless of enchantment, so said statistic is useless unless we are making counts based on Mana shot

The distance between universes would have to be calculated using Imaginary numbers, so times that by Aleph zero. Furthermore, optimal speed surpassing theoretical limit can be accounted for as the bullet themselves is travelling in a weightless state

Going at such velocity would require massive expelation movement. 50cal multiplied by spatial resistance

The formula for converting magic function to kinetic energy should rely on the most efficient pathway, ergo, connective directional force

This is also a trick, as the bullet is travelling faster than infinite, which points to negative infinite mass

All values found must be inverted, including time. In essence, the bullet must travel from the victim to the sniper. To make the shot, Mary will have to shoot herself

"The answer is zero" I said "With the statistics provided, Mary is actually reversing its trajectory to hit her alternate self"

The smile on Belial's face told me I had made the right answer

"Right, next question. Assuming Jack can make an infinite amount of swords inside his Reality Marble using Gradation Air, calculate the rate at which he had to produce swords so that the Reality Marble's Mana cost remain lower than the cost needed to projected said weapons, assuming each sword only cost a tenth of their original Mana requirement"

I went into my room looking like a half-dead zombie, which is quite redundant, but it perfectly described how my brain felt that my instinct as a writer didn't rise to the oxymoron

I jumped on the bed, feeling the comfort of the cool pillow. Aamon raised his head to look at me

The wolf-like demon let out a short bark and jumped on my lap

"Hey, buddy. Did you know your original version is a demon of life and reproduction? That means people worship you because of sex" I paused "If only you can become an E-girl"

Aamon release something like a sigh.

Magecraft's basis rely on an equation constructed by the user's conception of them. Interpretation is key, therefore my hypothesis is that the catalyst to summon them has influenced the Goetia

Damn it, if only I had summoned the Ars Goetia through my collection of DxD merch instead of the crappy book

"Speaking of which, what is your branch of Magecraft, Aamon?" I turned to him "I don't think I've seen it"

Belial as the Demon of [Lordship] hold the power to impose authority on any individual. If so, I am curious as to what the more destructive of the two demons can do

[Vengeance] sounds like quite the aggressive concept, after all

Aamon didn't answer me. Instead, he raised his paw and slammed it on the ground, I watched as the glass on the other side of the room suddenly shattered.

"Okay, so was that telekinesis?"

He shook his head. Aamon demonstrated again, putting its paw on my book. At the same time, a crushing weight descends upon me. I choked, feeling it tightening by the seconds, until the pressure was relieved and I fell down the ground

"What the fuck is that!?"

"Aamon can manipulate grudge" Belial's amused voice rang out behind me "His specialty is in transferring inflicted injury from one thing to another, mirroring the damage between the victim and assailant down to every detail"

"That doesn't sound as versatile as your concept"

"It is only natural. The fiend is only a Marquis after all" The demon explain "The hierarchy in Hell depends upon the strength of your conceptual boundary, as well as your relevance"

I flexed my palm and watched as the book came flying to me

Concept matters. Just like with Aamon and Belial, you only need to focus on one path and explored all its possibilities

As per the contract, I would have to kill a person the demon chose. Their name is Ritsuka Fujimaru, and from what little I've gleamed there seems to be nothing remarkable about him

And that's what raised my attenttentiln

"Who are they exactly and what have they done?"

It was a short question to their motive. I only need to know if I'm up against something with a hidden ability. God forbid if it turns out this Fujimaru guy has EX-level plot armor

"At the current, Fujimaru have yet to do anything" Belial said non-chalantly "And we wish for it to remain that way"

"Elaborate. What had he done to deserve death?"

"In the future, he will be the one to destroy the world. Not of humanity, but the entirety of their existence as well"

"...what?" For a moment, I doubt my ears. Belial repeated a second time with confidence

"Our goals for this world may not be exactly benevolent, but you have our assurance that the demons have your best interest in mind" He eyed me "If you don't want to do it, we will not force you. Everything will eventually cease to be"

"And how do I know you're not fucking lying?" My eyes narrowed "You could be having me dispose of some future Messiah figure so you can be rid of trouble"

"Fujimaru Ritsuka was a messiah once. The things he experienced in the future isn't one you could mortally conprehend and neither is the choices he made. Regardless, all we knew is that he turned on his belief at the end of his journey"

"That doesn't answer my question"

Belial raised his hand helplessly

"It's not like we can give you any proof of the future! The timeline is changing with infinite possibilities, and yet restrained by the quantum timelock. It could not be shown without regards to causality, unless you're Kaleidoscope himself"

"Sure, then I simply won't kill him now"

"You would go back on our contract?" The demon's gaze narrowed. Pretty scary for a child

I waved my hand dismissively

"I did say I'm going to kill a person of your choosing, not that I would kill him at your demand. Do you know what that mean?"

Judging by the way he fumes, I'm guessing yes. Since Belial himself had only account for that person's identity but not cementing their time of death, the condition for fulfilling the contract becomes much looser

"Until concrete evidence of your words are shown, I can just wait until he die to make the killing blow"

This is what happens if you don't read the terms and conditions, kids. Also, don't scam demons unless you have to

Really, the thing about a portable weapon demon is that it's portable. That's why it's so good

The second best thing about it is that anything that had killed, counts as a "weapon", meaning there are unlimited range of shapeshift for a demon whose concepts revolves around them

I'm just wondering which motherfucker is crazy enough to murder someone with a toilet

It was a ridiculous request. I mean, Excalibur's kind of a legendary sword right? People talk about it every time King Arthur was mentioned, as the sword alone holds the promise of eternal victory to its wielder
