Honestly, I think mentally, I was recovering from all the world events of January. I felt pretty helpless, overwhelmed, pessimistic. Tried really hard to just get through it. I think the fact that I only read One Book in February really reflex that. (check out the review for that book here: LINK) I got back into playing a lot of animal crossing.Â
Ugh where do I even start:
Got rid of the image map book shelf and replaced them with another spreadsheet controlled feature: LINK. Also worked a little bit on the back log of reviews.
Also got rid of the still image DNF graveyard and replaced it with another spreadsheet feature: Link
Updated Personal Blogs Look: Link
Made a music blog page, including a spreadsheet controlled Song of the month MP3 Player.: Link
Made a button! Someone on discord requested one. So I made it
I think thats it? The read and Reviewed book shelf took a long time to make and kind of sucked up all the blog updating time.
Feb. 1st: Went to the Say Anything and Motion City Soundtrack concert out in Silver Spring. You can see the blog post over here: LINK. But long and short of it, had a great time but felt some kind of way about seeing my dead brother's favorite band live.
Feb. 7th: Went ice skating with wife and roommate first week of the month. Roomie has kind of been obsessed with hockey and ice skating since Heated Rivalry came out. But I hadn't been ice skating in a really long time. Place was pretty crowded though.
Roomie was better at skating than me 😂
I fell quite a few times. 🫣
My partner decided to sit out skating. 🥰

Feb. 8th: Deep cleaned the apartment all together. Was actually really nice. I found my DND minis! Set them up on the shelf. I really should pain some of these. Maybe even make a page for them on the website, like do some 360 Models you can rotate? I think that would be cool. Also made one of those an analog box to try and stop being on my phone so much.

Unpainted Minis.
Roomie looks silly here while me and wife look tired. lol
Crosswords, puzzles, coloring books, and some other analog low brain power fun stuff.
Feb. 9th-11th: We tired Lego for the first time! I have always kind of been intimidated by Lego, I thought the instruction would be hard but it was actually really easy.
Started with some easy sets. Like this one.
Sorting Blocks.
Half Way Done!
Almost Done!
Giles HATES the Lego Cat!
Feb. 10th: I saw this trend of people keeping little squares of trash from each day in their journal so I tried it out and got my first full page! I love how this looks!
Feb. 11th: This was a sad day for me. I was already really struggling with some other things at work and home. I was walking between buildings at work and I saw this American Woodcock sitting in the middle of the road! Woodcocks are the bird that are featured in that Dancing Meep Bird meme. I thought that maybe he was just stunned, maybe got confused by the sun reflecting in the snow and bonked into the Data Center wall. I didn't want him to get run over so I picked him up to move him. Mr. Meep was SO SOFT! And very light. But gosh so soft, like a fluffy little feather duster. He struggled a little but let me pick them up and move them to the sidewalk. I wanted to take Mr. Meep to a vet or wildlife rescue but I didn't have my car that day and when I called they weren't open. During my lunch break, I went to go check on Mr. Meep and he wasn't there so I though, YAY! He recovered form being stunned and flew away. I was so happy I cried a little. But after my shift I was walking back to another building and I saw that Mr. Meep had just moved to a different location and was laying in the snow. He unfortunately passed away. And I cried again. I felt so bad and felt like I hadn't done enough to help Mr. Meep. I'm getting teary eyed just typing this up. But I did move him to a safe spot so I like to think at least Mr. Meep wasn't scared when he died. Better to pass away on the side walk then get run over by some tech bro in a tesla. I still think about Mr. Meep a lot. It was my first time seeing a Woodcock in our area as there isn't a lot of woods/trees around here for them to look for food.

Feb. 13th: Got new glasses! First time getting prescription sunglasses. I tried to make them look like Vash but it came out more red than Amber. Roomie says "I look like a vampire." So maybe more Crowley.
Not quite a match. Maybe next year I'll get something more yellow.
Feb. 14th: We went to the Zoo! Saw lots of cute Animals. You can see the whole post here: LINK.
Feb. 27th: Pokemon DAY! Saw the trailer for the new starters! They are all so very cute! These are the animals I think they are based on! I'm super excited for this game to take place in South East Asia.
