The Woven Foundation was established in 2026 as a bold evolution of long-standing feminist organizing in Trinidad and Tobago.
After decades of advocacy, the team behind WOMANTRA made the decision to close that chapter and move forward with a renewed vision. This transition was shaped by reflection, changing realities, and a deep commitment to sustainability, accountability, and community connection.
The Woven Foundation carries forward that legacy while charting a new path — one that is grounded in care, clarity, and collective power.
Liberation from patriarchy, colonial violence, and all forms of oppression for women, girls, and gender-diverse people to live in safety, equality, and joy.
We are queer feminists forging gender-just liberation through community building, political education, empowerment, and unapologetic advocacy in Trinidad and Tobago.
