According to statistics from The World Population Review and UNICEF, Nigeria has a poverty rate of 40.1% and around 54% of Nigerian children are considered 'multidimensionally poor'.
Many children don't get the full experience of playing sports. They have to settle with playing soccer barefoot, baseball with sticks, basketball with a homemade ball, tennis with homemade rackets, etc.
According to SoccerPro.com, over 350 million cleats from all sports are unused in the United States. That stat is from 2013. The cleat market in not just soccer, but in all sports has skyrocketed in the 10 years between 2013 and 2023.Â
Our goal is to give the millions of kids in Nigeria in love with sports the best possible experience in their favorite sport. We do so by gathering donations of unused sports equipment from donors in the United States and then supplying kids with the donations. In the future, we would like to expand to other countries and also past sports equipment to bigger projects.
