Support the Arts

A non-comprehensive list of charities and organizations helping to support the arts!

Why support the arts? The arts are an essential part of our community, on every level from local to national. Unfortunately, the arts are often overlooked and underfunded. Here, we have compiled a list of charities and organizations that help artists of all kinds. We're always looking to expand the list, so if you know of other organizations that help support the arts in any manner, please, reach out! We'd love to add them.

The Actors Fund

"Founded in 1882, The Actors Fund is a national human services organization here to meet the needs of our entertainment community with a unique understanding of the challenges involved in a life in the arts. Services include emergency financial assistance, affordable housing, health care and insurance counseling, senior care, secondary career development and more."

Costume Industry Coalition

"We are over 50 small, unique, independent businesses and artisans--in and around New York City--that create and supply costumes for the entertainment industry. Standing alongside us are costuming colleagues from major NYC arts institutions."

"The Black Artists + Designers Guild advances equity and inclusion for Black creative professionals by investing in Black ancestral futures, claiming liberatory Black narratives, and creating spaces to celebrate Black creativity and culture through design."

"The National Endowment for the Arts supports exemplary arts projects in communities nationwide through grantmaking, initiatives, partnerships, and events."
