Congratulations to Jack! Jack was honored with 2023 UGA-Winship Research Summit Poster Award and the 2023 BDCI Trainee Seed Grant. Jack’s research project focuses on the exploration of unique immune evasion mechanisms in breast cancer and the development of small molecule inhibitors that target crucial glycosyltransferases to augment immunotherapy. With the support of the BDCI Trainee Seed Grant, Jack will collaborate with Mario Rivera from Dr. Ming Ji Dai’s lab to improve the putative glycosyltransferase inhibitors identified through computational and laboratory screenings, potentially providing a novel strategy to sensitize breast cancer patients to immunotherapy.
