Arbor Day Foundation
With more than 50 years of experience, we plant with intention and integrity. Our science-based approach pinpoints forests and communities that would benefit most from trees. Then, our global network of local planting partners gets to work planting wherever there is a need.

Tree City USA
Tree City USA began 50 years ago to grow our communities’ health, happiness, and resilience through trees. Today, this iconic conservation program thrives from Main Street to your street. Stockport has been awarded a Tree City USA. Through a grant through the National Arbor Day Foundation, our village has been able to plant 130 trees over the 1 1/2 years to beautify our village.
Tree Commission Academy
The Ohio Division of Forestry created Tree Commission Academy (TCA) to provide formal training to volunteer tree commissioners, public managers, and elected officials in Ohio. TCA is a series of 4 classes that helps local volunteers and decision-makers understand the basics of urban forestry and their role in public resource management.
TCA’s objective is to produce comfortable, confident, and knowledgeable "graduates" capable of helping their community effectively meet its urban forestry mission.
The Village of Stockport has 4 of our citizens who have participated in the Tree Commission Academy.
