We do this for a reason. Prior to launching The Tutor Lab, we spent a significant amount of time researching the most efficient, most convenient ways to deliver our lessons.
The Covid-19 global pandemic impacted education in an unprecedented way. Seemingly overnight, schools across Ireland were forced to move their entire teaching online. For some, this presented significant challenges. Learning online is vastly different to the social environment that is the classroom. For others however, the Covid-19 pandemic highlighted the benefits of online learning.
Convenience: Learning in the Digital Age means that you can avail of top-quality tutoring in the comfort of your own home. This means that you are not required to spend hours travelling between different tutors. The convenience of online learning also means that our tutors can work around your schedule, to find a time that best suits you.
Quality: At The Tutor Lab, we strive to achieve the highest quality tutoring for our students. That is why we independently recruit tutors that all have professional experience working within their subject area and are fully competent with Information and Communications Technology (ICT). This recruitment process means that we only advertise tutors who share our vision of delivering high-quality, online lessons, that are specific to the needs and requirements of each student.
Flexibility: When you book a lesson with The Tutor Lab, you will be given an option to record your lesson. Recording your lesson gives you the flexibility to review and revise the content at any time, in any place. This flexibility is hugely beneficial.
Cost: Traditional, in-person lessons can be costly, ranging in price from €35-€55 per hour in a lot of cases. This is excluding any associated transportation costs. At The Tutor Lab, all of our lessons range from €20-€25 per hour. The nature of our online learning platform means that you will not encounter any transportation costs or additional extras. Unlike a lot of 'grinds schools', we do not ask you to pay a large sum upfront, or to pay for all your lessons in advance. Rather, we give each student a 20 minute lesson free of charge, before deciding to proceed. After that, we just ask that you pay lesson-by-lesson.
