Please understand that this is the baseline of all toyenas, yours can very slightly, but toyena parts and such tend to be universal in the way they work.
This is advanced stuff! So if you have any questions feel free to ask!
Toyena eyes come in two types, 8 layered and 16 layered. There is really no difference between the two other then the number of layers in the eye shutter.
When drawn realistically, they normally have 16 layers. But the 8 layer eyes are easier to draw in a toonie style.
They toyena's eyes can be any colors you wish!
For exapmle tuckers iris (the colored part of your eye) are pink and his scleras (the whiote part of your eye) are yellow!
Toyena eyes do glow in the dark and they have eye shine with camera flash.
Each layer can rotate on its own. These layers will rotate in or out. This allows the eye to open and close, which regulates how much light the eye takes in. This is exactly how your eyes work, and they do it automatically.
These are the basic insides of a toyena!
All toyenas are made of some kind of metal, and are normally metallic in color. The Keys, claws, and noses are normally all the same color, unless those parts are replaced.
This frame design is not the ONLY way toyenas can be made, if you want to design a new or different frame for you toyena, feel free!!
Boxes are basically a toyenas heart and they power the toyena.
Damaging the box will most likely kill the toyena.
Here is a video on how music boxes work. If you skip to 2:14 then you will skip the part about the music side of music boxes. Other then that the inside workings of the boxes are the same!

Toyenas have three different reasons to breathe.
It works very similarly to your diaphragm does!
The bar pushes back, making the sealed system expand, forcing more air in from the nose or mouth. When the bar pulls forward, the area closes letting the air push out of their mouth or nose.
The stomach and chest of a toyena works like yours, when it inhales, the chest gets bigger and when it exhales the chest lowers.
Toyenas need the stopper to control where the air is coming and going.
As the picture above shows, then their mouth is open, the stopper closes the passage to the nose and all the air comes from their mouth. When their mouth is open they can speak (if your toyena know how) since the voice box is under the rubber stopper.
When their mouth is closed the rubber stopper opens the passage to the nose, allowing them to smell (again if that is something that the toyena can do).
When toyenas speak, their mouths do not move. The “voice box” is really a speaker powered by the air they breathe. Because of this they do have “lips” and do not use their mouths or tongues for speaking. Honestly I can be kind of creepy, since the toyena will just open its mouth and sound comes out.
The AI in a toyena is in their heads. This is basically their brains.
Toyenas have “spinal cords”, called connection cords, that connect their AI centers to their Boxes. If either of these stop working or the connection is broken the toyena will stop functioning and it can die.
If the issue is fixed, the toyena can live, but it may revert back to its washed state or it may loose some motor skill and not function like it did before.
If anything happens to the AI the Toyena will be at risk of a virus.
Viruses are a kind of mix between dementia and a computer virus.
The virus affects the AI and the connection cord.
Not much is known on how toyenas can get viruses, but we know the symptoms.
Toyenas who are Infected will get worse, and there is no know cure. It progresses like dementia in humans.
It starts small, sometimes they will not know it is happening.
It will then affect their short term memories and will cause the toyena to lose its balance more often.
It will get worse, and will cause the toyena to lose long term memory and motor skills.
In the latest stages the toyena will revert back to it’s washed state, and will not be able to be brought back.
