2026 Date Confirmed - Friday 12th of June, 2026
From the outset, it was important that the event had a purpose beyond networking. Partnering with the Disabled Sailing Association gave us exactly that. Their mission — ‘to offer safe and affordable sailing for the disabled’ — opens the sea to everyone, perfectly reflecting our own values.
The Disabled Sailing Association is a Torquay-based sailing charity, run for the disabled, by the disabled. Their aim is, wherever possible, to give everybody, no matter what their disability, the opportunity to enjoy the experience of seagoing sailing in a safe and pleasurable environment, and to encourage them to be involved in an activity from which many believe they are excluded.
The DSA is a highly active charity which who owns multiple yachts that have been refitted to accommodate most disabilities.
Fundraising on race day provides essential funding for their fleet, ensuring inclusion is more than an ideal; it’s a reality. This charitable dimension reminds us that the Invitational is about more than making contacts — it’s about strengthening the community around the bay.
