The Thumb and The Last Warrior OSC Shidokan Karatedo Inc. is a martial arts organization dedicated to building disciplined individuals, strong leaders, and service-driven communities.
Founded in 1975 by Fr./Major Benedicto P. Elopre (+), we carry a legacy of excellence through Elopre Ha Shidokan Karate-Do — blending sports and traditional training to develop both skill and character.
We go beyond techniques.
We instill discipline, integrity, humility, leadership, and GOD-fearing individuals— who are ready to serve, lead, and make a difference.
One Aim. One Organization. One Purpose.
To promote the welfare and well-being of the OSC community while preserving the identity, tradition, and arts of Okinawa Shorin-ryu through the ideologies instilled by our Founder and the teachings of Shorin-ryu Shidokan — developing individuals of strong character as responsible citizens and servant leaders.
A progressive way of life for the OSC community, grounded in spiritual and wholistic development, empowering its members to lead with excellence across all sectors of society in the Philippines and worldwide.
Love of God and Country – We promote patriotism and spiritual growth.
Discipline and Respect – We uphold structure, honor, and proper conduct in all aspects of training and life.
Integrity and Humility – We act with honesty and remain grounded regardless of achievement.
Service and Leadership – We lead by example and serve our communities with purpose.
Youth Development and Excellence – We nurture the next generation through training, mentorship, and education.
The Thumb and The Last Warrior OSC Shidokan Karate-Do is more than a system of self-defense — it is a way of life. It emphasizes balance between physical skill, mental discipline, and moral responsibility.
Every practitioner is guided by the SMISAP framework, we aim to produce well-rounded individuals prepared for life’s challenges and to pursue mastery not only in technique, but in character.
Our organization is guided by dedicated leaders and instructors committed to preserving the ideology of our founder and advancing the mission of the organization through structured training, mentorship, and service initiatives.
We are a family of practitioners, mentors, leaders, and learners united by one aim, one organization.
From young students discovering confidence for the first time, to seasoned practitioners honing mastery, we create an environment where:
Youth are empowered
Leaders are developed
Communities are strengthened
Our programs extend beyond the dojo — through leadership training, outreach initiatives, elderlies, and youth development camps that shape lives far beyond martial arts.
