Frequently Asked Questions
What is The Sweet Spot?
The Sweet Spot is an adults-only private social and lifestyle community in Austin, Texas. Our events are designed for open-minded adults who value connection, exploration, discretion, respect, and consent.
Do I have to be experienced in the lifestyle to attend?
No. Newcomers are welcome. You do not have to participate in anything beyond what you're comfortable with. Come with an open mind, respect the rules and boundaries of others, and enjoy the atmosphere at your own pace.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes. All guests must be 21 or older. A valid government-issued photo ID may be required.
Where are events held?
Events are held at private locations in the Austin area, including private residences, event spaces, hotels, and other venues depending on the event.
For private events, the exact location may only be provided to confirmed guests.
How do I RSVP?
RSVP instructions are included with each event announcement. Some events may require you to text a designated keyword, complete screening, and submit payment before your reservation is confirmed.
Submitting an inquiry does not automatically guarantee admission.
Can I pay at the door?
Unless an event specifically says otherwise, there is no pay at the door. Your RSVP and payment must be completed in advance.
What payment methods do you accept?
Available payment methods will be listed with each event. Depending on the event, payment options may include Cash App and credit/debit card.
Are payments refundable?
Unless otherwise stated for a specific event:
All sales are final. No refunds. No exchanges.
Please make sure you are able to attend before submitting payment.
Are single men allowed?
Yes, but admission for single men may be limited and approval-only.
Approval helps us maintain the atmosphere, guest balance, safety, and overall experience of each event. Paying or requesting admission does not override the approval process.
Are single women welcome?
Absolutely. Single women are welcome unless a particular event has different attendance requirements.
Are couples welcome?
Yes. Couples are welcome. Event pricing and admission requirements may vary, so check the information for the specific event you're attending.
Do I have to participate?
No. Attendance is never consent.
You decide what you are and are not comfortable participating in. You may change your mind at any time.
Watching, socializing, dancing, or simply enjoying the atmosphere is perfectly acceptable as long as you respect everyone else's boundaries.
What is your consent policy?
Consent is mandatory.
Always obtain clear consent before touching or joining another person or activity. Consent must be voluntary, informed, and ongoing.
A previous "yes" does not mean "yes" to something else, and anyone can withdraw consent at any time.
Ignoring someone's boundaries may result in immediate removal and possible exclusion from future events.
Are STI test results required?
For events that require testing, recent STI test results are required, and screenshots may be accepted.
Testing requirements and acceptable testing windows may vary by event, so always review the specific event information before attending.
Where can I get tested?
Austin-area guests may have several testing options, including local clinics and sexual-health organizations such as Kind Clinic and Vivent Health.
We recommend scheduling testing early enough to receive your results before the event.
Are my test results kept private?
We take guest privacy seriously. Test information is used only for the purpose for which it was requested and should only be accessible to authorized individuals involved in the screening process.
Please review our Privacy Policy for additional information regarding how submitted information is handled and retained.
Does testing mean an event is completely risk-free?
No. STI testing can help reduce risk, but it cannot eliminate it. Testing windows, infections not included on a screening panel, and changes occurring after a test can affect someone's current status.
Every guest remains responsible for making their own informed decisions regarding sexual health and safer-sex practices.
What should I bring?
Requirements vary by event. Depending on the event, guests may be asked to bring:
- Valid photo ID
- Required test results
- Their own preferred protection or personal items
- A bottle when the event is designated Bring A Bottle
- Appropriate attire for the event's theme or dress code
Always check the event announcement before arriving.
Is alcohol allowed?
Some events are Bring A Bottle. Alcohol rules depend on the venue and event.
Guests are expected to drink responsibly. Being intoxicated never excuses inappropriate behavior or a violation of someone's boundaries.
Can I take pictures or videos?
Do not photograph or record another guest without their explicit permission.
Privacy and discretion are extremely important at The Sweet Spot. Unauthorized photography, video, or sharing of another guest's identity may result in removal and exclusion from future events.
Can I post about the event on social media?
You may talk about your own experience, but do not identify, tag, photograph, record, or reveal another attendee without their permission.
What happens at The Sweet Spot should remain private unless everyone involved agrees otherwise.
What should I wear?
Dress codes vary by event. Some nights may be upscale, themed, lingerie-friendly, swimwear-oriented, costume-based, or casual/sexy.
Specific dress requirements will be included with the event announcement.
What happens if someone makes me uncomfortable?
Tell a host or designated staff member immediately.
You never have to remain in an interaction that makes you uncomfortable. Our expectation is simple:
Respect • Consent • Discretion
Can someone be removed from an event?
Yes. The Sweet Spot reserves the right to remove guests for violating event rules, ignoring boundaries, threatening safety, creating unnecessary conflict, unauthorized recording, excessive intoxication, harassment, or other inappropriate conduct.
Removal may also result in exclusion from future events.
Can my RSVP or admission be denied?
Yes. The Sweet Spot is a private community, and some events are curated or approval-based. An invitation, previous attendance, inquiry, or application does not necessarily guarantee admission to every event.
I'm nervous about attending my first event. Is that normal?
Definitely. You don't have to arrive with a plan or expectation.
Introduce yourself, socialize, learn the environment, and move at your own pace. There is no requirement to participate simply because you're attending.
How do I find out about upcoming events?
Follow The Sweet Spot's official event announcements and community channels for upcoming dates, themes, RSVP instructions, pricing, testing requirements, and other event-specific information.
What are the three most important rules?
Respect. Consent. Discretion.
Respect the space.
Respect people's boundaries.
Get consent before participating.
Protect everyone's privacy.
Most importantly — no always means no, and yes can become no at any time.
