It is seeming that adapting to this shift in consciousness, this new phase of the human enterprise, may not be something we can easily will ourselves into. What is more successful, we are finding, is willingness, the willingness to be adapted, to let go of our preconceptions and ideas and let the process, which some of us are calling the CHRIST flow us where are needed, where we become true to ourselves, our place in the Living Mosaic, the solution. This process of Adaptation is where our Acceptance that the world is changing, that things will never be the same, that there is no going backward, gets muscle, grounds itself in the process of change itself. We offer three routes for moving into Adaptations. There are many more, of course. These are just what we have to offer, along with a helpful mindset.
The Spark Practice: The Spark Project began with the insight that there is a spark of humanity is each one of us, and that it cannot be extinguished. It can be defended, or baffled, or distorted, or all three; it cannot be extinguished. Together, we developed a “practice” for those interested in living into the possibilities of this insight. Using this practice, we discovered, beyond having a distinct albeit subtle impact on those whose sparks we connect with and affirm, strengthens our own sparks, and thus erodes our defenses, clarifies our bafflement, and releases our distortions. This makes us more available to the process of adaptation. It is as if the Mosaic can now more easily inhale us into our place within it, the Dance can draw us into our own unique movement.
Create: It doesn't matter whether our medium is voice or paint or gardening or stone or cooking, or parenting or teaching or music. Creativity draws up from within us something unique and wanting expression. It can take courage. It unplugs a place that connects with the process of Adaptation, to draw us further along. You are welcome to send us your own creations to be included here as examples.
Stretch: Physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally. All those places that we are used to holding tight and defended. Practise new ways of thinking, of expressing, of relating. Open up those places that are afraid, held tight, so the process of Adaptation can get hold and move us along to where we are needed. Some of us do this through our blog
Helpful: We can choose to welcome everything that comes our way, no matter what, everything, as custom crafted to stimulate us into new ways of being and responding, that we may be more smoothly drawn into our place within the solution.
