Background and History

In the year 300, a remote and secretive clan, known for their enigmatic rituals, pursued immortality through a sacred ceremony called the Souls. Each year, the clan selected one individual to be offered to a deity they believed would bestow eternal life. This solemn ritual became a cornerstone of their culture, embodying their deepest hopes and fears.

Moki was born into this clan with a rare potential. His clan believed he was destined to be the chosen one, the next offering. As he grew, the weight of this expectation became increasingly burdensome. By the age of thirteen, Moki was preparing for the ceremony that was to seal her fate.

However, Moki's life took an unexpected turn when he met NaïKu. Their bond, initially founded on friendship, deepened into a profound love. Torn between her affection for NaïKu and the duty imposed by the ceremony, Moki faced an agonizing dilemma.

On the day of the Souls ceremony, Moki could no longer bear the thought of fulfilling his predetermined fate. In a desperate bid to change his destiny, he unleashed his final form—a devastating power that resulted in a catastrophic explosion. This explosion obliterated not only her own village but also the neighboring one. Moki's final act of defiance led to his own demise, transforming him into a Soul.

In the aftermath of the destruction, true Souls began to emerge from the ruins of the neighboring village. Overwhelmed by guilt and seeking redemption, Moki chose to protect these newly awakened Souls. Driven by this newfound purpose, she founded an organization known as the Spiral, rising from the ashes of his past to offer guidance and protection to those who shared his fate.
