Laura Talmus is the Executive Director and Co-founder of Beyond Differences, a non-profit organization that seeks to inspire students nationwide to end social isolation and create cultures of belonging for everyone. Laura founded Beyond Differences, along with her husband following the unexpected death of their daughter, Lili, in 2009 as a way to not only honor their daughter's memory but also to raise much-needed awareness on the issue of adolescent social isolation.

Heather is a registered nurse a UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. As an infusion nurse, Heather closely works and interacts with patients who various treatments from chemotherapy, blood transfusion to dialysis. Our conversation shed light on how COVID-19 restrictions deeply impacted her life and the health care industry.

Kendra is a Marketing Communication Specialist, author and founder of Rare by Design. As a woman living with MPS VI, she is passionated about being a voice for and providing support to families and children who have severe or life-threatening illnesses or disabilities. During our conversation, we discussed how the disability community was impacted by the stay-at-home orders and social distance mandates.
