It was an unfortunate afternoon on Easter Monday for Coventry City, after defeat at home park to bottom of the table, Plymouth Argyle. The game started fairly even, with chances being created at both ends of the pitch, however, in the 40th minute, Mustapha Bundu gave plymouth the lead. This would be quickly followed by a Ryan Hardie goal on the counter attack in the 43rd minute. The Sky Blues weren't down and out though! Haji Wright capped off a chaotic 5 minutes by capiltiising on a mistake by Argyle's 'keeper, taking the game to half time.
In the second half, Coventry played much the same, and Plymouth's strong defensive line payed off, showed well by the only goal of the half being scored by Mustapha Bundu. The game finished 3-1, a dissapointing defeat for a sky blues side who are looking for a route back to the premier league.
Coventry City fans have taken to social media, rightly showing their frustration. One fan commented 'That was f****** dreadful', while another supporter said 'We have no chance winning the playoffs.'
The Sky Blues sit in 6th, thanks to results in other fixtures.
