All the laws listed below are only applicable to those within the Sith Order. Not all laws apply equally depending upon a person's rank, division, and status. The Sith Emperor may make exceptions and is considered immune to laws when it is necessary for his duties and his will. Joining TSO binds you to these laws.

These regulations are essential guidelines that should be followed, and many are considered common-sense rules that rarely require enforcement, so punishment may vary depending on the circumstances surrounding the violation.

A. Faction Law - If you are in the sith order, you must reside on the sith order team if not in a practice raid. Dark Council+ should only team for a valid reason. You may only be in TSO or TJO, not both.
- Exception: Those ranked Dark Council+ may authorize practice raids on the hostile
team.
- Severity: Violation of this law is considered a special offense, and offenders should be warned once then jailed until they comply.
B. Life Law - It is prohibited to kill those who are also within the order.
- Exceptions: Consensual Dueling, Law Enforcement Execution, Chaotic Hostile Defense, and Territorial Enforcement, Sanctioned Events.
- Severity: Violation of this law is considered a major offense. Those without the intention of violating this law should be warned first.
C. Administrative Law - Abuse of privileges, permissions, or any access to documents, records, or other information is prohibited.
- Exceptions: Events authorized solely by the Emperor or another authority figure. For example, Purge events.
- Severity: Violation of this law is considered a special offense. Offenders with the intention of causing harm will be expelled from the order with all permissions revoked.
D. Loyalty Law - Infiltration of the group or any attempt to overthrow a member of the group from their position is strictly prohibited.
- Exceptions: Attempting to have a member who is acting in violation of codes of conduct removed through official complaint channels is permitted.
- Severity: Issues regarding this law will be handled on a case by case basis depending on the offense, offender, and the enforcer determining the punishment.
E. Existential Law - Threats, blackmail, or other endangering actions to a person, especially those that specifically extend outside of the game, are expressly forbidden.
- Severity: Violations of this law are considered severe in nature, and, depending upon the violation, may result in instant expulsion or blacklist depending on the situation.
F. Security Law - Attempts to exploit game vulnerabilities, permissions, or circumvent ranking or other systems are not allowed under any circumstances. This includes glitching, exploiting, or utilizing permissions to circumvent barriers.
- Exceptions: Those given permission by the game developer to test or prove vulnerabilities are allowed to showcase glitches or exploits only within their guidelines.
- Severity: Violation of this rule is a special offense, usually resulting in a full demotion, game ban, and blacklist, but each offense is handled on a case-by-case basis.
G. Justice Clause - It is prohibited to attempt to circumvent, circumvent, or in any way subvert the law or regulations of the Order in any way, shape, or form.
- Exceptions: Valid reports due to misuse or unauthorized application of the law are not considered circumventing the law as long as it is done in good faith without ulterior motives.

A. Maturity Law - In-game chat should always remain on topic, faceless, emojiless, and utilizing proper grammar, conventions, and capitalization when possible.
- Exceptions: Mobile Gameplay, Unintentional Error, Authorized Event, and Consensual Whispers.
- Severity: This law is considered a minor violation when breached, but repetition can increase the violation up to the major category.
B. Morph Law - The proper morph(s) should always be worn. If you are in a division, your divisional morph is expected to be worn instead of your primary rank, unless you are an overseer or above. There is no such thing as "off duty" while in-game.
- Exceptions: Approved Events, Powerbase+, Authorized Situations due to Lag.
- Severity: This is considered a moderate breach if the rule is violated. In addition, those out of morph (with approval) need to be in genre-appropriate clothing.
C. Address Law - It is required to address those of the proper rank by their title, and bowing when necessary is also strictly required. Those with the rank of Darth+ must be bowed to and greeted properly by their rank or appropriate title. **If the person you are greeting is AFK, you may rise and continue after 10 seconds. Do not bow to people standing AFK, facing away, in corners. Further, do not bow to Silentude.**
- Exceptions: You should not bow nor should you be bowed to by any member of the Dark Honor Guard (unless you are the Voice or Emperor). Those in divisions with guidelines that limit bowing or greeting are exempt. Those playing on mobile devices should do a roleplay bow `*bows*` in text chat. Visitors and hostiles are immune to this.
- Severity: Failure to properly address a superior is considered a minor offense, but it can be upgraded to a moderate or major offense should you fail to do so after being asked to.
D. Respect Law - Respect, in terms of all laws, text chat, and discord chat, is mandatory. It is improper to be biased towards others without reason or to treat others without respect regardless of their rank or status within the order. Trolling also falls under this law -- intentionally attempting to disrupt gameplay is inherently disrespectful.
- Exceptions: Enforcing the law is not being disrespectful. Shouting during certain tryouts or events for elite divisions is not being disrespectful. Issuing orders or being strict upon rule breakers is not being disrespectful.
- Severity: Breach of this offense, when proven and judged to be so by the proper authorities is considered a moderate offense, but a warning should be provided before further punishment is issued if it is not a repeated offense.
E. Boundary Law - Topics and subjects that are not public in nature should remain within the confines of the proper channels. Space and respect should be given. You should not discuss promotions or transfers out of the proper channels. Put short, you must remain within your boundary, report issues, but allow divisions and other ranks to maintain their own order as necessary.
- Exceptions: Reports of valid law violations are not out of bounds. Speaking through official channels or in private whisper with permission is allowed, so long as no classified information is exchanged without proper approval.
- Severity: Breach of this offense is considered a moderate or major offense depending on the information disclosed. Issues with this law should be handled on a case by case basis by those with the proper permissions.
F. Obligation Law - When faced with information you should not have or proof of violations of the law, you are obligated to report it. In addition, should you witness unlawful behavior you are obligated to report it. You are not obligated to report very minor offenses, only those that have bearing on the order's operation or are continually repeated.
- Exceptions: When under fear of loss of rank, take the report to a higher level with evidence as soon as possible. If you are unsure if a law has been broken, you should confirm with a law enforcement official.
- Severity: Violations of this law are considered special offenses and are handled on a case-by-case basis by the appropriate authorities.

---------------
A. Obstruction of Justice - Attempting to violate laws or allow someone to be set free from violating the laws is considered obstructing justice. In addition, hiding or fabricating evidence is obstructing justice. Those attempting to circumvent or unlawfully apply punishments or violations are also in violation of this clause.
- Exception: Repeated offenses being moved to a higher offense category is not considered obstructing justice. Being unaware of evidence you have is not obstructing justice, but intentionally hiding or concealing evidence is.
- Severity: Violation of this rule is considered an investigative offense. Those found doing this must be investigated and reported to Head of Dark Council+ and their overseers (if applicable) for investigation and a thorough review. A complaint is also valid.
B. Fleeing Punishment - Escaping or continually attempting to escape prison, justice, or another punishment is grounds for further punishment.
- Exception: Even if punishment is unfair, attempting to escape punishment is illegal. However, if the punishment is overturned, escaping charges will be invalidated, but claiming a punishment is unfair without adjudication does not automatically deem it legal. If you do not realize you're being punished, it is at the discretion of the punisher to accept your explanation or deny it.
- Severity: Violation of this generally results in further jail time if jailed, or, if it is another punishment, an upgrade to the next level of severity up to and including a demotion or further sanctions such as rank locking or blacklisting.
C. Validity of Enforcement - Law enforcers are expected to abide by punishment order unless under exigent circumstances. Warnings or executions should be issued before jail time unless otherwise stated.
- Exception: Major crimes or crimes extending beyond the purview of the order such as threats on life or massive, intentional rule violations in succession in addition to special offenses are exempt from regular punishment ladders.
- Severity: Violation of this rule is considered a special offense, and any violations should be reported to the Council, and, specifically, the overseer of the enforcer if they are within a division as soon as possible.
D. Warrant Clause - Any law enforcer (R&R - Enforcer) may put out a warrant to arrest users who leave the game, reset, or respawn before being arrested. In addition, those who are law enforcers and must leave before they are able to arrest someone can put out a warrant. Warrants are one-time arrest commands that can be revoked at any time by a higher rank and is only valid for one arrest of the specified user.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Enforcers, within the bounds of their guidelines and directions of their high command, may interpret the laws as necessary in situations requiring law enforcement intervention.
The aforementioned laws only apply to those within the TSO group, but they apply to them regardless of the team they are on. Sith Order members should only be on the Sith Order team unless otherwise authorized.
Note: There is no such thing as a kill on sight order. Longer jail sentences, executions, demotions, and server removals are replacements.
Any questions regarding Sith Legislation should be brought to the attention of the Dark Council.
