A student resource for Holocaust literature
Recognising that historical fiction can be an absorbing and informative genre it is often criticised for straying too far from the truth. The reasons could be narrative constraints, commercial concerns or entertainment values. Certain liberties are normally understandable, prudent, and acceptable. However, it can be damaging when such liberties are taken with the storytelling facts of the Holocaust, or other acts of genocide - no matter how innocent or well-intentioned those stories are.
This resource repository aims to provide essential background to help understand the facts behind the 'fiction'.
My sources of information are from peer-reviewed articles, theses, journals and books, and reputable and trustworthy sites such as Yad Vashem, The Imperial War Museum and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
