Our laboratory focuses on the research field in the Next-Generation of Wireless Communication Systems (Beyond 5G and 6G wireless networks) and Machine Learning Applications with an emphasis on information/communication theory, signal processing, and machine learning. Our current research interests include the following topics but not limited to:

The paper, "Wi-MIR: A CSI Dataset for Wi-Fi Based Multi-Person Interaction Recognition," has been accepted to IEEE Access, Apr. 2024. A CSI dataset for WiFi based Multi-Person Interection Recognition is now publicly available [CSI Dataset], [Paper].
Prof. Shin has been selected as one of the IEEE Featured Authors that appeared on the IEEE Xplore front page. IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization, with over 460,000 members in over 190 countries [Link], [Screenshot].

Wonjae Shin and co-authors Mojtaba Vaezi (Villanova University, USA), Byungju Lee (Samsung Research, Korea), Jungwoo Lee (Seoul National University, Korea), and David J. Love (Purdue University, USA), and H. Vincent Poor (Princeton University, USA) have been selected as the 2020 recipients of the IEEE Communication Society's Fred W. Ellersick Prize. The award is given to the most influential paper in any Communications Society magazine in the previous 3 calendar years. Wonjae Shin is awarded The Outstanding Researcher Award from PNU BK-21 Plus (Mar. 2020).
Wonjae Shin has been elevated to the grade of IEEE Senior Member, which is an honor bestowed only to those who have made significant contributions to the profession, and fewer than 10 percent of IEEE members achieve this level of recognition (Feb. 2020).
Wonjae Shin is recognized as IEEE Transactions on Communications Exemplary Reviewer 2019. Fewer than 2 percent of all IEEE TCOM reviewers in 2019 receive this recognition for their high quality of reviews (Feb. 2020).
