What Lurks in the Shadows of India

I have always been fascinated by the creatures that haunt children's tales, and the myths that come with them. Vampires have always been my favorites, and I always enjoy trying to find their parallels in other cultures: creatures that prey on the living, only come out at night, that sort of thing. Many cultures share similar myths, many cultures don't. For my storybook, I hope to explore some of the legends of creatures of ancient India, and use them to write modern horror stories with the ultimate goal of embracing the same thrill one could expect to find with the more well known creatures of other cultures.
