• HOW CAN I BE PART OF THIS EXHIBITION?

• WHAT ART FORMS CAN I SUBMIT?

All art forms and creative responses are welcome. If you are making work and it links to The Shade of You brief, then we want to see this as a submission! 

Creative responses could include (but not limited to):

> Photography

> Film

> Fine art

> Mixed media

> Ceramics 

> Sculpture

> Poetry or written pieces

> Installation pieces 

• CAN I SUBMIT WORK FROM A PROJECT?

Yes, you can submit any work, past or present, that links to the themes discussed in The Shade of You  exhibition brief. Your submission must link to the theme either in subject matter or creative process.

• HOW MANY WORKS CAN I SUBMIT?

Maximum submission of five art works per person (individual pieces or from series). Artworks must be prepared to exhibition quality and ready for hanging

• IS THERE COST INVOLVED? 

Submission is FREE. This exhibition is run on a voluntary basis in order to provide opportunities for artists to showcase their work. 

Artists are responsible for production/material costs and transportation costs of art works.

• WHEN WILL I HEAR BACK ABOUT SUBMISSIONS?

We will contact you by 1st October to inform you if your submission has been selected for the exhibition

• CAN I SELL MY WORK?

Yes, there is the option to sell artwork at the show. Please indiciate this on the jotform submission link. There will be a 15% commision on all sales. This is to contribute towards costs of the venue and exhibition costs. 

• HOW DO I GET MY WORK TO YOU?

You must be able to arrange transportation of your artworks to and form St Saviours, Plymouth, on the dates below.

Deliver artworks:

• Delivery day - Friday 20th October - for those unable to hang work themselves 

• OR Installation day - Wednesday 25th October - for those hanging work themselves 

Collection of any unsold pieces:

• Takedown day - Sunday 29th October 3pm-5pm

• OR Collection day - Monday 30th October 10am-3pm

• CAN I HANG / INSTALL MY WORK IN THE GALLERY MYSELF?

Artists are encouraged to hang / install their own work in the gallery on the exhibition installation day on Wednesday 25th October. If you are unavailable on this date or unable to hang yourself, the exhibition team will hang the work for you on installation day, prior to discussion.

• CAN I HELP OUT IN THE EXHIBITION?

Yes, you can! We are grateful to for offers and skillsets to join the team. We are particularly  looking for volunteers to help with marketing and promotion, installation and set up. Please contact us to let us know how you'd like to be involved.
