My fitness journey started about 3 years ago. What most people don't tell you is it takes YEARS to make fitness a habit. It has to be priority and as a mom of 2 small kids, I was not able to make the gym a priority. As my kids became older I had more flexibility and I had the opportunity to go to the gym consistently. I was a size 12 but really needed to be in a 14. All of my size 12 clothing was fitting tight but I just didn't want to come to terms with being a size 14. As a reseller, I am familiar with sizing and a size 14 is considered "plus size." That was my breaking point. We were on a family vacation and there was a full size mirror placed by the bathroom. I saw myself for the first time in a bathing suit and that was it. I HATED my body. That was last summer 2019. I started hitting the gym more consistently and made some friends in the group fitness classes. My biggest piece of advice is to make friends. They will hold you accountable when you try to skip the gym. In October 2019 I started calorie counting and loosing weight. Over this last year I went from 176 to 160. I have maintained that weight even during this pandemic with COVID-19. Below are some videos I have uploaded that shows a portion of the classes I take. My goal weight is 155 (pre-babies weight). I will continue to update my journey and include some of my favorite recipes. Follow along with me on my journey!
