A passionate Clevelander, I have been surrounded by sports my entire life; something my parents instilled in me at a very young age. Growing up, I was involved in multiple sports: soccer, dance, basketball, volleyball, and most importantly, rowing. While I am not a participant in sports in college, I heavily spend my limited free time supporting my teams quite passionately: the Cleveland Cavaliers, Guardians, and Browns, the Indiana Fever, the Las Vegas Aces, the USWNT, and more! You can find me reposting countless things on my social media regarding women's sports, women's rights, and music. In college, I spend most of my time in Donkey Coffee or Alden Library and participate in countless organizations such as being a member the Delta Zeta sorority, president of Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, writing for Thread Magazine, interning for the New Ohio Review, and lead writing commons tutor and social media member at the Academic Achievement Center! Over the summer, you can find me shouting and steering on the Cuyahoga river or at the Cleveland Rowing Foundation as a Masters Rowing Coxswain for the Western Reserve Rowing Association.
I'm a third-year English Creative Writing major with Journalism and Psychology Minors at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Originally a class project, the scoreboard has become a passion project that I take great pride in. As an athlete, I find myself seeing the boundaries women and nonbinary folks continue to break on an everyday basis and through this journal I want to share the stories that may not get the attention they deserve. I want the scoreboard to shed the light on the powerful women and those who don’t identify within a certain gender who have broken boundaries, went through their highest highs and lowest lows, and all the while, kept their grit and powered through! I look forward to building this journal and sharing the stories that come my way. Let's get the wins together!
