The Santer lab opened November 1, 2020 in the Department of Immunology at the University of Manitoba.

Our research aims to uncover mechanisms of how immune responses are regulated at both cellular and molecular levels. Specifically, we are focusing on how type III interferons (IFNs) inhibit viruses and regulate human inflammation in inflammatory bowel diseases.

***The Santer lab is recruiting 1 Ph.D graduate student and/or 1 Postdoctoral fellow for a 2026 start plus soon starting interviews for 1-2 students for a summer 2026 full-time undergraduate work term***
