The Conference will take place at the Anargyrios and Korgialeneios School of Spetses Foundation (AKSS)

Accommodation

The conference venue (AKSS) has available rooms that include lunch. We will share information in due time. There are also hotels in the centre of town, which is very close to AKSS by foot. Note that cars are not permitted in Spetses but there are (some) taxis.

June is a busy time for Spetses so you are advised to book a room as soon as possible.

Getting to Spetses

You can reach Spetses by ferry from Athens (Piraeus port) or by combining a drive from Athens to the mainland coastal town of Kosta with a short sea taxi or ferry ride. The most common method is a high-speed or regular ferry from the Piraeus port, which takes about two to three hours. You can book tickets at ferryhopper.com. Alternatively, you can drive to Kosta and take a 10-minute sea taxi or short ferry ride to the island. Note that cars are not allowed in Spetses.

Below are some scheduled ferries from Athens (Piraeus port) to Spetses on Wednesday 10th of June:

Departure: 08:30 --- Arrival: 10:15. [Hellenic Seaways]
Departure: 09:45 --- Arrival: 11:40. [Alpha Lines]
Departure: 10:00 --- Arrival: 11:55. [Magic Sea Ferries]
Departure: 10:00 --- Arrival: 12:30. [Hellenic Seaways]
Departure: 12:00 --- Arrival: 14:30. [Magic Sea Ferries]

Please note that to make it in time for the conference on the 10th of June you must make the 12:00 ferry (Option 5, above) at the latest.

You can reach Piraeus port with a direct train from the airport, or by taxi.

You can purchase the ferry tickets at the kiosks in the port, or preferably using some app like FerryHopper.
