Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

What is a card break?

A card break is an event where collectors purchase spots to receive cards from a box or case of trading cards. Instead of buying the entire box, participants share the cost and get specific cards based on a predetermined method, like team assignments or random draws.

How does a live break work?

In a live break, we open sealed boxes of cards on platforms like TikTok, WhatNot, or Fanatics in real-time. Participants watch as the cards are revealed, and the assigned cards are shipped directly to them.

What is a mystery pack?

A mystery pack is a curated collection of trading cards sold as a surprise. Each pack includes a mix of cards, which can range from base cards to rare hits, depending on the tier you select.

What tiers of mystery packs do you offer? We offer four tiers:

Breaking Lingo

What is a "hit"?

A "hit" refers to a valuable or rare card, such as autographs, relics, or low-numbered inserts.

What is "random team" in a break?

In a random team break, participants are assigned teams at random. You receive all the cards pulled for your assigned team.

What does "PYT" mean?

PYT stands for "Pick Your Team." Participants select and pay for specific teams, receiving all cards pulled for that team.

What is a "case break"?

A case break involves opening an entire case of trading card boxes, which usually contains multiple boxes. It’s a larger-scale break with more cards and opportunities for hits.

What are "base cards"?

Base cards are the standard cards in a set. They’re less rare but still important for completing collections.

What does "numbered card" mean?

A numbered card has a serial number printed on it, indicating its rarity. For example, a card numbered 1/25 means only 25 copies exist, and you have the first one.

What should I look for as a beginner?

Start with entry-level packs or breaks to get a feel for the hobby. Learn about different card types, sets, and values before diving into higher-tier products.

How do I store my cards?

Use protective supplies like sleeves, top loaders, and storage boxes to keep your cards in excellent condition.

What is the value of my cards?

Card values depend on factors like rarity, condition, and demand. Online marketplaces or card grading services can help you estimate value.
