Last year in 2017, we had one of our highest overdose rates in Pearl River County. With the opiate epidemic growing and growing, we have lost so many loved ones just in our county alone. The Lord put a vision on my heart to unite the ministries, and recovery groups of our County and create a Jesus synergy to take back our community from the hands of Satan. In January of this year, 2018, The Rescue Army was birthed. Not only do we act as a liaison to many recovery programs in our state and neighboring state, we also offer counsel to the families affected by the blows of addiction. We offer food banks and hot community meals. We provide drug education for free to our community to teach them about the problem our country is facing, and just recently we united to help detox those in serious addictions to opiates. Our whole network is a volunteer effort. Not only do we ask people to come to the many programs all of the ministries involve offer, but we also go into the community, in the most poverty-stricken areas and spread the love of Jesus and an escape out. We are the Rescue Army, on a mission to save our county.
