Built from more than two decades of varsity girls basketball coaching experience and trusted relationships with coaches across the country, The Report is a girls high school and women’s college basketball recruiting platform dedicated to evaluating, promoting, and covering talent in Arizona and beyond.

Founded by Jason “FleeeZeee” Fleegle — Assistant Coach at Scottsdale Community College Women’s Basketball, former NCAA Division III basketball player, and longtime grassroots coach — The Report combines firsthand basketball knowledge with a deep understanding of recruiting, player development, and talent evaluation.

With experience spanning varsity high school basketball, club basketball, junior high development, and college coaching, The Report provides verified evaluations, prospect exposure, film breakdowns, and recruiting-focused coverage designed to help college programs identify impactful players. Coverage ranges from small local tournaments and grassroots events to major regional and national showcases, ensuring prospects at every level have an opportunity to be seen and evaluated in the proper context.

The Report also features a dedicated photography and videography media team focused on capturing high-level visuals, game action, player branding content, interviews, and event coverage that helps athletes gain additional exposure across recruiting and social media platforms.

The platform emphasizes honest assessments, long-term development, and context-driven evaluations while spotlighting athletes who consistently impact winning at every level of the game. "THE REPORT" RANKINGS PHILOSOPHY

The Report Rankings are built on a combination of past and current performance, long-term college potential, and projected impact at the next level. As a college coach, I understand that statistics provide an important part of the story, but they rarely tell the whole story. Production and on-court success matter, yet evaluating a prospect requires looking beyond the numbers.

Each player is assessed through a comprehensive lens that includes skill set, athleticism, basketball IQ, competitiveness, positional value, strength of competition, and other traits that are most likely to translate to success at the collegiate level. Every evaluation also considers a prospect's production, efficiency, consistency, role within their team, decision-making, physical tools, and overall impact on winning.

When ranking prospects, I consider three important components: a player's current floor, their future ceiling, and the likelihood that they reach that ceiling. Significant weight is given to the qualities that college coaches value most and that consistently translate to higher levels of basketball, including versatility, work ethic, defensive impact, shooting ability, and the capacity to positively influence team success.

The Report Rankings are designed to provide coaches, players, and fans with a thoughtful evaluation of each prospect's complete profile. The goal is not simply to rank the best players right now or the highest-upside athletes, but to provide a well-rounded assessment of the overall college prospect by balancing present performance with future projection.

It is also important to recognize that player rankings are inherently subjective. No ranking system will ever be perfect, and reasonable people can disagree on the evaluation and projection of prospects. Basketball is not played on a spreadsheet, and factors such as fit, development, opportunity, coaching, and future growth can significantly impact a player's trajectory.

That said, these rankings are not created casually. Countless hours are invested throughout the year watching games, evaluating film, studying performance, communicating with coaches, and analyzing prospects from multiple perspectives. While no list will be flawless, every ranking is built with the goal of being as accurate, informed, and thoughtful as possible based on the information available at the time of evaluation.
