The Paul G. Reitz Theater, formerly the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, is located in downtown DuBois. It is behind Brady Street Floral and next to the Masons' Lodge. It is a short walk from Sheetz, Gateway Towers, and just about every downtown DuBois business.
Directions:
DuBois is located in western/central Pennsylvania. It is approximately 11 miles from Brockway; 20 miles from Brookville, Punxsutawney, and Clearfield; 30 miles from St. Marys and Ridgway; 40 miles from Clarion; 50 miles from Emporium and Indiana; 60 miles from St. College; 75 miles from Altoona and Johnstown; 85 miles from Delmont and New Kensington; 100 miles from Ohio and Pittsburgh; and 150 miles from Buffalo, NY and Morgantown, WV.
The Reitz Theater is located on a "one-way" street, with traffic flowing toward Route 219. If you are coming in on Route 219, you will have to exit on an adjacent street and circle back around to the Theater on Scribner Avenue. It is on the left hand side of Scribner Avenue, heading toward Route 219 (Brady Street).
We understand that downtown parking can often be a challenge on the weekends in particular. We encourage patrons to explore the following parking options, all of which are within 2-3 blocks of the theater.
1. On Street on Scribner, Stockdale, Long Ave. Don't forget a block or two further up Scribner in front of the Verizon Building (some metered, some not)
2. Corner of E. Long and Brady (219)-the municipal lot by Luigi's (metered)
3.Corner of E. Long and Stockdale-Hallstrom Construction lot-we have permission
4. Down W. Scribner just across Brady on W. Long at the City Building (metered). There is additional parking in the various church lots in this area as well.
5. Corner of Washington and Brady (219) Library Lot (metered)
6. Corner of East Park Ave. and Brady St., across the street from Sheetz, in the parking lot of the former PNC Bank, beside the Korb Monuments Building. We have permission to use the unreserved spots in this lot during shows. Korb Monuments has given us permission to use their spaces as well.
Park at Sheetz (employee or customer spots) at your own risk! (they may tow) We have not had any patrons report being towed in years, but it is still technically not allowed. Please do not use the "Brady Street Floral" spots in the small lot towards Scribner (even after business hours). The Brady Street Floral spaces are reserved for the owner/ residents of the building after business hours (similar to your driveway).
Please keep in mind that the limited spaces available in directly in front of the Paul G. Reitz Theater are for our patrons with physical limitations that require curbside parking. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Patrons are welcome to drop off elderly or handicapped companions at the bottom of the annex ramp, and then park. if you call the office in advance (814-375-4274) we can have an usher meet you at the curb and assist your companion into the theater.
