The General Secretary serves as the official record keeper of the Philippine Reformation Movement. This position is responsible for maintaining records of events, membership information, documents, ordinances, and legislative materials of the organization. The General Secretary convenes meetings as instructed by the Chairperson, prepares and issues circulars and agendas, and ensures that meetings and activities are properly organized. When disciplinary action is required, the General Secretary issues circulars regarding the suspension or expulsion of members, subject to the signatures of the National Chairperson and the National President. The role includes organizing programs, meetings, conferences, and activities in coordination with the Events Committee, as well as assisting in publicity and communications. The General Secretary records and distributes minutes of meetings throughout the movement and may appoint up to three assistant secretaries to support the fulfillment of duties.
In addition to these core responsibilities, the General Secretary oversees the organizational structure from the national level to local chapters, coordinates internal communications, and maintains membership information systems. The role supports campaign planning and logistics in coordination with campaign managers and candidates. The General Secretary monitors member participation and commitment, serves as a primary link between the Executive Committee and grassroots members, and tracks political developments to help guide organizational messaging and strategic decisions. Through these responsibilities, the General Secretary ensures effective coordination, transparency, and organizational discipline within the movement.
