My name is Jonny and I started this website for a college class however, as fungus has taught me, it's very difficult to keep something with a mind of it's own from growing arms and legs. I had little to no previous knowledge of mycology when beginning this blog and was pushed toward a subject I was more familiar with but the thought of just rambling about Warhammer or D&D made me worried I'd suck the joy out of these hobbies. Instead I was inspired by the people in my life, like my mother, who cultivated an encyclopaedic  knowledge of mushrooms just through passing interest. I wanted to know what was drawing these people in so deep and share it with the world. If my blog has sparked even the smallest inspiration to continue learning then I'll call it successful. My college lecturer's opinion is a different story. Many thanks!
